This Madhubani painting is about a wedding procession taking place in rural India....The lovely Bride is the center of attraction here.Madhubani or Mithila painting style of India is preserved by women in northern Bihar.Artists paint freehand, using vegetable dyes on handmade paper.These paintings are known for their simple, happy themes,bright colors and cute figures and motifs.Birds,flowers,elephants,fishes,sun ,moon and nature play an important role in Madhubani art.
